Miscellaneous Pictures

This was a picture done by John Caliber, for one of his online Mystara D&D games - tremendous fun, those games! The character's name was Covenant Theodosius, a zealous paladin-type, all goody-two-shoes and holier than thou. He was young, incredibly stupid, but had a heart in the right place.
If I recall correctly, he met some horrible end or other, dying bravely to ensure his comrades survived to win the day... All very noble and all that.

This picture was done as a sort-of cartoony sketch of Abdul, the captain and owner-aboard of the Crescent Moon, from my Traveller game. I had this mad idea of doing comic-style pages of some of the key scenes in the game, like the arrival of AIDA on board.
Like a lot of my bright ideas, it fell by the wayside due to a lack of time commitments, motivation and above all, artistic talent!!
Now this one was when I was drawing regularly (when I was at school - I think I
was either 16 or 17 when I did this one. It's a copy from a Steve Dillon Judge
Dredd strip. The Brit-Cit ambassador goes missing in the Cursed Earth and Dredd
is tasked to find him (If I recall correctly..)
Anyway, what ensues is a cross between Deliverance (without the squealing) and Southern Comfort, with a dose of Beverly Hilbillys thrown in for good measure.
The original drawings are now a bit faded with time (it has been over 20 years...)

This is another from the same strip. Same artist I'm mimicking - Steve Dillon. I used to do a lot of copying from 2000AD
This
is another John Caliber one - another of my characters from one of his games,
too. This is (IIRC) Judge Boscorelli (yes, named after the one in Third Watch).
I imagined him when describing him as a sort of Jason King-alike.
The fate of him? 20 years in a penal colony for shooting a perp in the knees when he challenged me to single combat...
Well, Dredd gets away with that on a regular basis, so I thought "why not?"
That's why not, apparently.
This
one was about 1986 or 87. It was me attempting to do a Dredd strip, based on the
old Games Workshop JD adventure that had Judge Cal making a reappearance.
I think I got to one page and then stopped...

From Left to Right: Samael Harrington, Bruno Vasilevski, Abdul-Haleem Nasser and (bottom row) Sorren Dahl
These are the characters from my Traveller game, the crew of the Crescent Moon (played respectively by Harv, Phil, Paul and Tim)
To the right of Abdul is the original picture I based him on (actual size)

This was a little sketch as a housewarming thingy for Graham who used to run a Star Wars game online. It fell by the wayside and never really started up again..
